Past Recipients Testimonials
“The CSCMP Edge Conference offers an unparalleled opportunity to both network with professionals from all over the country (as well as globe) and learn about the unique challenges and opportunities in the supply chain field in an extremely fun and low-pressure environment. You will go in knowing few people and with minimal exposure to supply chain, as it applies to real business, and you will leave with new mentors, lifelong friends and colleagues, and a much deeper understanding of real business supply chains. If you are lucky, you may even network with the right people and leave with a career opportunity. I can personally attest to this actually happening, and know I am not the only one. You would be a fool not to apply for this word class opportunity!” – Connor Rockrohr, Product Integrity Analyst at Hallmark (2016 recipient; Class of 2017 majoring in OSCM)

“CSCMP was an absolutely amazing opportunity for me and my collegiate experience. Meeting and networking with professionals of all levels of experience, in the supply chain field, gave me the confidence to pursue a job in operations. This gave me a good understanding of what to be prepared for in my future career. As far as the conference, I was able to grasp new ideas that are being used to enhance supply chain operations. Having these new ideas made it exciting to come back and share with our student organization and professors to better our college experience. With the aid of CSCMP Future Leaders program, I was given the opportunity to meet with a mentor who provided support and encouragement in my career search during and after college. To this day, I still keep in contact with some colleagues I met while at the conference. “In the 2019 EDGE conference, it is really eye-opening to me in terms of the scale of the supply chain industry and various people from all over the world. It also assured me I have chosen a right career because I am a people person, curious about new things/technologies and problem-solver. As a people person, I have met many different outstanding individuals through networking section that I want to keep in touch with. I don’t see myself to meet these people in person other than EDGE conference. As a curious person, I appreciate there are multiple different sections broken down into different topics that I can go to. Also, many sections focused on the impact/application of technologies in the supply chain industry such as blockchain and automation. Last but not least, as a problem-solver, I have learned the great wisdom from the industry leader that how they react to the problem such as, tariffs, disasters, and trucker shortages. Moreover, the leader’s leadership is critical to solve problem. I enjoy listening their stories. All in all, I want to thank to CSCMP KC Round table for giving me this great opportunity to have this experience in my life. If I have chance, I will definitely want to attend next year. “The CSCMP Conference was the first conference I have attended and I was really impressed with the whole experience. One of the things I really enjoyed about the conference getting to hear people’s experiences in the supply chain world and getting to know other students who are looking to start their career soon. I think this conference really showed me how large the supply chain world is and how it still growing. One of the key takeaways I had from this conference was how technology is flipping the supply chain world on its head and to see how companies are responding to this change. The sessions were great because there was a wide range of topics that allowed you to focus in on what really excites you about supply chain or what do you need to know more about.” – Amanda Buckwalter (2019 recipient; MBA Class of 2020; Accepted offer from Textron Aviation)
